25th Annual Colloquium of Superannuation Researchers (Sydney)

Name:25th Annual Colloquium of Superannuation Researchers (Sydney)
Calendar:Non-ERA Events
When:Thu, July 6, 2017 - Fri, July 7, 2017
The 25th Annual Colloquium of Superannuation Researchers will be held 6-7 July 2017 at UNSW Australia.

The Colloquium, co-hosted by CEPAR and the School of Risk & Actuarial Studies in the UNSW Business School, is a unique annual event, bringing together academics, government and industry to discuss the current important pension and superannuation issues. It will feature keynote sessions and plenary sessions with concurrent contributed papers.
International contributions are welcome. Young researchers, especially PhD students, are encouraged to submit. This year we will be running a competition for ‘Best Presentation by a PhD Student', the winner will receive a cash prize.
It is now 25 years since the introduction of Australia's superannuation guarantee and over this period many other countries have introduced pension reforms which have involved a greater emphasis on private provision. It is therefore an appropriate time to reflect on the equity, sustainability and adequacy of retirement income arrangements, both in Australia and internationally.
You can download the call for papers here

• Sustainable fiscal policy
• Taxation of superannuation and pensions
• The labour market for older workers
• Longevity and healthy life expectancy
• Retirement benefits, demand and design
• Retirement planning
• Demographic trends
Contributions are also welcome on other topics, which may include but are not limited to:
• Lifecycle behaviour
• Choice architecture and defaults
• Financial product disclosure
• Financial literacy, financial education and financial advice
• Cognition
